Our Story
In 2008, Milk and Honey was envisioned by brothers Kellan and Kamaron Yancy, both West Los Angeles natives immersed in the world of fashion. Inspired by their journey and a verse from Exodus, they hold firm to the belief that "The Journey is Greater than the Destination," anticipating a promise land akin to the "Land of Milk and Honey."
In 2017, Milk and Honey made its debut, transforming clothing into art displayed at an exclusive pop-up in the Bruce Lurie Gallery on LaCienega. The brothers crafted a unique presentation, with garments seemingly floating in custom hand-built frames. This innovative approach marked the beginning of their artistic exploration.
Continuing their impact, the brothers showcased Milk and Honey at the Agenda Trade show in Long Beach, constructing an artful booth resembling a backyard in 2017. This unforgettable display, featuring green artificial turf and wooden gates, became one of the highlights of the Agenda Show.
Expanding their creative horizons, the Yancy brothers collaborated with writer and actor Paul Dupree in 2018 to produce the short film "Pop Up," filmed at the Bruce Lurie location. This cinematic venture featured a three-day opening, showcasing concepts and performances that mirrored the essence of Milk and Honey.
After a brief hiatus due to Covid-related supply chain challenges, Milk and Honey is poised for a triumphant return in 2024, embracing an exclusive relaunch and continuing their journey as pioneers in the intersection of fashion and art.
